Their hard work resulted in a high quality event for Vancouver's mountain community. Attendance at all three nights was excellent. (In fact it was a complete sell-out on Friday and Saturday.) And audience reaction to the array of films was incredibly positive. "This was the best selection of films in years." Isabel Budke "Kudos to the ACC selection group in picking really nice films. I enjoyed ALL of the films." Carol Evenchick Of the seventeen films shown, some envisioned the athletes as actors caught in their own personal dramas. In 'Rowing The Atlantic', Roz Savage worked through her physical and psychological pain to triumph at the finish line in the Caribbean. In 'First Ascent: The Impossible Climb', Chris Sharma pushed through his physical and psychological limitations to establish a new world record climb. Other films turned athletes into artists. Two of these were 'Mount Blanc Speed Flying' with its paragliders tracing visual poetry in the air, and 'Signatures: Canvas of Snow' with its skiers weaving through drifts of endless powder, all set to up-beat music.
