Ignite your passion for adventure, action, and travel! The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour will exhilarate you with amazing big-screen stories when it comes to the Ridge Theatre in Vancouver on December 1st & 2nd and the Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver on December 3rd. Journey to exotic locations, paddle the wildest waters, and climb the highest peaks. Be taken away to the most captivating places on earth.

The 2011/12 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour brings films from the 36th annual Banff Mountain Film Festival to about 285 communities around the world. From an exploration of remote landscapes and mountain cultures to adrenaline-fueled action sports, films in this year’s world tour are sure to captivate and amaze the explorer within you.

Be moved. Be inspired. Don’t miss out. Last year's shows were sold out. This stop on the world tour is hosted by the Alpine Club of Canada, Vancouver Section.

How and where to buy your tickets:

• Online via PayPal (see below), $18 per ticket, tickets available at the Will Call Table at the venue on presentation of email payment confirmation

• From any ACC Executive member, $15 per ticket, cash only

Starting November 1 at the following outlets:

• Festival Cinemas Ridge Theatre, online or at the box office, 3131 Arbutus, Vancouver, (new Vancouver location this year), $18 per ticket, cash or credit card

• Centennial Theatre, online or at the box office, 2300 Lonsdale Ave, North Vancouver, $18 per ticket, cash or credit card

This year the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival will be in Banff from October 29 to November 6th. We anticipate making and posting our selection of films to be shown in Vancouver as soon as possible after that.

Like last year, we will offer 2 distinct programs. There will be a program (A) offered at the Ridge Theatre on Thursday evening, Program (B) will be offered at the Ridge on Friday evening.
