GEAR RENTAL Rentals are to ACC Vancouver Section members only. Please include your Alpine Club member number in email correspondence with gear custodians. Avalanche Transceivers 3 Focus Fi models available. Members must provide their own fresh two AA batteries. $5 per day; $10 per weekend; $25 per week. If a trip includes both ACC members and non-members, an ACC member must rent the phone for the group and take full responsibility for the phone, all charges and any damage or loss. The ACC member should be the person to pick up the phone and gets briefed about its operation, and places a deposit with a cheque in his/her name.
Members must call at least 2 weeks in advance of their trip to reserve the phone. Note: Official Vancouver Section trips and events have 1st priority. Email Bill Sims or phone him at 604-734-8870 For non-members, the following businesses rent satellite phones at commercial rates:
